Vintage restored Marion Toolworks Boys Axe Head, hung on its original hickory handle - which has been painted white. Head had painted full red at one point, maybe used in firefighting but not confirmed. This axe reads ‘P’ on one side (indicating manufacture by Marion), and ‘4’ on the other, indicating a 4-inch wide blade. Handmade cowhide leather sheath with brass hardware included!
I don't know much history on Marion Toolworks, but I believe the name was first used back in 1927 and ceased being used in the late 1950s.
